My say is if you like in depth hard work, attention to detail (well not patch wise), WW2 simulation, go for Men of War Assault Squad 2, if you like flashy lights, arcade games, and simpler tactics go for Company oh Heroes 2, its all about personal preference. They are both very different games and very difficult, and almost unfair to compare. For Comapany of Heroes well in 1, lose an infantry squad in the first 10 minutes and its game over, in COH2 deny Germany fuel at all costs. Although Men of War is a hell of a lot harder i believe, and in particualr getting used to armour values, penetraition values etc is a difficult thing to learn, although that is just the basics of Men of War. But in saying that be ready for a very very very steep learning curve, as you can ecpect with any game, even in COH2. If you like detail and true World War 2 simulation choose Men of War Assault Squad. Company of heroes is if you want an arcadey game that can be learnt by many with ease and is just designed to have fun and be a game. Men of War Assault Squad is better if you like everything right down to the nitty gritty most basic most detailed version of a World War 2 game. Workshop is already booming with both solo / coop mods and mulit mods. it is more detailed than CoH2 and has the Direct Control angle going for it. Once the issues are resolved and as time has shown, have not all been the faulit of the Devs, there have been conflicts with both Steam and Valive, once worked out, AS2 will be the game its was meant to be.

MoW before AS has great solo campaigns with story progression.ĪS2 moved to Steam when Gamespy folded and changed engines.

that should be enough for a start :)ĬoH2 has a solid builtin twitch streaming thingie.ĬoH2 has a solid custom player vs AI on multi maps mode avail.ĬoH2 has workshop content but its very aimed at multi with little if any solo mods ( i could be wrong but havent found many)ĪS2 does not have the built in twitch thingie but can be streamed by ppl who know what they are doing. there are youtube vids from strat29 and baronvongamerz, there are streams going on twitch.
